1. 后接表现时间点的词大概词组，仅仅表现举动大概形态的起始点，而不触及其持续时间的是非。表现时间“从……开头”，“始于”。

from…to… 从……到……

from 2:00 to 7:00 从两点到七点

from morning till night 从早到晚

They worked from morning till night.

他们从早到晚地事情。

My sister began to learn the piano from the age of five.

我的妹妹从五岁开头学习钢琴。

2. 表现地点“从……”

from Xi'an to Tianjin 从西安到天津

choose sth. from 从……中选择某物

3. 表现“离……”

be far from sth. 离……远

The railway station is far from here．

火车站离这里很远。

My home is far from the bus stop.

4. 表现“来自……”“从……来”

be from+地点

come from+地点

be from+sb. 是或人送的、寄的

He comes from China. /He is from China.

他来自中国。

The grammar book is from my uncle.

这本语法书是我叔叔送的。

The letter is from my pen pal.

这封信是我的笔友寄来的。

be different from 与……不同

from now on 从如今开头

from then on 从当时起

be absent from 出席，不在

be tired from sth.由于……而疲劳，劳累

be made from sth. 由……制成（看不出原质料）

judging from sth. 从……推断
