I was so disappointed with myself.
I had been studying hard for the physics exam for days, sacrificing time with friends and family, only to find out that I had failed. What an incredibly emotional moment.
I felt betrayed by my own expectations, crushed by the outcome. I had gone into the test feeling confident, but that self-assurance began to dissipate as I encountered more and more familiar concepts that I could not quite remember. As my score flashed on the screen, I hung my head in disappointment.
It was then that I realised that I had to accept my shortcomings, and do better the next time. I had to pull myself up, grit my teeth and believe I could pass the physics test. I knew it wouldn't be easy, but I was determined to do better.
So I took some time out, went back and revised the techniques I had been taught, and prepared myself for the next time. I eventually passed that test and I believe my attitude during those challenging times helped me eventually succeed.
