1. sour[?sa??(r)] grapes

1)涵义:外表意思是“酸葡萄”,实践上指的就是我们常说的“吃不着葡萄就说葡萄酸”:Criticism[?kr?t?s?z?m] or disparagement [d??sp?r?d?m?nt] of that which one cannot have.

He said he didn’t want the job anyway, but that’s just sour grapes.

2. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

Other people's circumstances or belongings always seem more desirable than one's own.

A: "It just seems like they have this perfect life, always traveling and spending time together."

B: "Hey, the grass is always greener. I'm sure they have their own problems that no one else can see."
