这些英式客气话，你真的听懂了吗？
英国人向来以委婉著称，
这个特点也表如今他们的平常表达上。
他们有些平常用语表达的意思很奇妙，
偶尔连其他英语国度人士都无法完全了解，
更不要说我们这些英语学习者了。

英式客气：I hear what you say.
我闻声你说什么了。
你以为的：He accepts my point of view.
他赞同我的看法。
真正意思：I disagree and do not want to discuss it further.
我不赞同你，这个成绩的讨论就此打住吧。
英式客气：You must come for dinner.
天然会一定要来吃晚餐啊。
你以为的：I will get an invitation soon.
我很将近收到赴宴约请啦。
真正意思：It's not an invitation, I'm just being polite.
但是并没有什么约请，人家只是表现端正罢了。
英式客气：I almost agree.
我差不多赞同。
你以为的：He's not far from agreement.
他离赞同也不远了。
真正意思：I don't agree at all.
我基本不同意。
英式客气：I only have a few minor comments.
我提供了几处小的修正意见。
你以为的：He has found a few typos.
他发觉了几处拼写错误。
真正意思：Please rewrite completely.
你照旧重写吧。
英式客气：Could we consider some other options.
我们另有其他备选项吗？
你以为的：They have not yet decided.
他们还没决定（必要进一步讨论）。
真正意思：I don't like your idea.
我以为你的想法不怎样样。
英式客气：With the greatest respect...
倾耳细听
你以为的：He is listening to me.
他在仔细听。
真正意思：You are an idiot.
你个傻瓜。
英式客气：That's not bad. 不赖。
你以为的：That's poor. 很渣。
真正意思：That's good. 很好。
英式客气：Quite good. 挺好的。
你以为的：Quite good. 挺好的。
真正意思：A bit disappointing. 不尽善尽美。
英式客气：That is a very brave proposal.
这个发起挺大胆的。
你以为的：He thinks I have courage.
他赞赏我的勇气。
真正意思：You are insane. 你疯了吧。
英式客气：I would suggest...
我的发起就是（发起内容）。
你以为的：Think about the idea, but do what you like.
思索一下这个发起，但终极由你决定。
真正意思：Do it or be prepared to justify yourself.
就按这个来，不然说出你本人的来由。
英式客气：Oh, incidentally/by the way...
哎，对了（另有个事儿）。
你以为的：That is not very important.
不是什么紧张的事儿。
真正意思：The primary purpose of our discussion is...
此次讨论的主题就是（这件事）。
英式客气：I was a bit disappointed that...
（对这件事）我有点扫兴。
你以为的：It doesn't really matter.
没什么要紧。
真正意思：I am annoyed that...
（对这件事）我很不满。
英式客气：Very interesting.
挺故意思的。
你以为的：They are impressed.
他们以为这个很好。
真正意思：That is clearly nonsense.
几乎胡扯。
英式客气：I'll bear it in mind.
我会记下的。
你以为的：They will probably do it.
他们会记得做这件事。
真正意思：I've forgotten it already.
谁还记得谁人啊。
英式客气：I'm sure it's my fault.
我确定这是我的错。
你以为的：Why do they think it was their fault?
为什么他们会以为这是他们的错？
真正意思：It's your fault. 但是是你的错。
