When I amdead, my dearest, 当我死去时，我最热爱的，

Sing no sad songs for me; 请不要为我哀歌；

Plant thou roses at my head, 不要在我坟头种上玫瑰，

Nor shady cypress tree. 也不要种上翠柏成阴。

Be the green grass above me 让我坟上生长青草

With showers and dewdrops wet; 披带着雨水和露水；

And it thou will, forget. 倘使你乐意，你可以想起，

倘使你乐意，你可以忘记。

I shall not see the shadows, 我将看不见乌云，

I shall not feel the rain; 也不会感受甘雨；

I shall not hear the nightingale 我不会听到夜莺

Sing on as if in pain. 有如含悲的歌吟。

And dreaming through the twilight 沉溺在那无尽的睡梦里

That doth not rise nor set 履历那永不升降的傍晚，

Haply I may remember, 约莫我会想起，

What is this life if,full of care 这还叫什么生存，光是忙忙碌碌，

We have no time to stand and stare. 没有停一停，看一看的时间。

No time to stand beneath the boughs 没偶尔间站在树荫下

And stare as long as sheep and cows. 像牛羊那样恣意展望。

No time to see, when woods we pass, 没偶尔间看到，在走过树林时，

Where squirrels hides their nuts in grass. 松鼠把壳果往草丛里保藏。

No time to see, in broad daylight, 没偶尔间看到，在大好的阳光下，

Streams full of stars like skies at night. 溪流像夜空群星点点闪闪。

No time to turn at Beauty’s glance, 没偶尔间注意到少女的流昐，

And watch her feet, how they can dance. 观看她双足起舞蹁跹。

No time to wait till her mouth can 没偶尔间等候她眉间的柔情

Enrich that smile her eyes began. 掀开成唇的含笑。

A poor to life this if, full of care, 这生存就一定缺少，倘使光是忙碌，

We have no time to stand and stare. 没有停一停，看一看的时间。
