一次性处理regret的几个考点成绩
1.对以前产生的事变表现遗憾、可惜\后悔，用：
regret doing sth
regret have done sth
regret + 从句

Shee bitterly regretted ever having mentioned it.
She bitterly regretted that she ever mentioned it.

注意：regret doing sth,偶尔也表现动名词所表现的举措和regret举措是同时产生的：
I regret being unable to help.
帮不上忙，甚为抱愧。
She said she much regretted not being able to help.
她说她帮不上忙，深感遗憾。
I really regret leaving the party so early like this.
I am sorry that I have to leave the party so early like this.
我真抱愧如此早就得分开聚会会议。
2. 对即将产生的事变表现遗憾、可惜、后悔，用：
regret to do 表现很遗憾地做某事(事变还没有做)，自后要接不定式，且regret通常用如今时。当 regret 后方接 to do sth 时，表现有端正地或正式地表现抱愧、痛惜或伤心，也就是 to do sth 的举措在 regret 之前还没产生，是在 regret 之后产生，也就是将来要产生的举措，以是用动词不定式，比如：
I regret to tell you that you can't pass the examination.
我很遗憾地关照你，你不克不及经过这次测验．
We regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you the job.
我们遗憾地关照你，我们没法给你这份事情。

I regret to say that I cannot come.

2.regret to have done 也可以表现对做过的事变表现后悔，只是寻常辞书或语法书里没有收录：
