一、lift 动词。意思是“举起、抬起、抱起”。重申物体的极重，表现举起某物必要费些力气。比如：

The box is too heavy for me to lift. 箱子太重我拿不起。

Help me to lift up the table. 帮我抬一下桌子。

She lifted the baby out of the carriage. 她从车里抱出婴儿。

二、raise 及物动词。意思是“举起、提起、提升、增长”。后方必需跟宾语。屡屡有使物体抵达应有的高度的涵义。比如：

He raised his head from the pillow. 他把头从枕头上抬起来。

We were forced to raise the price. 我们欺压抬价。

The soldiers raised a white flag. 兵士举起了白旗。

三、rise 不及物动词。意思是“上升、升起、（数目标）增长”。比如：

She rose from her seat to welcome him. 她从座位上起来欢迎他。

The helicopter rose into the air. 直升机升上了天空。

The sun rises in the east and sets in the west.太阳从东边升起从东方落下。
